Unveiling the New Logitech A50: A Gamer's Dream (Review)

Logitech's A50 headphones will have a new version that uses a communication base, which serves as a hub to connect PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles and a computer, via HDMI.

This solution, which the brand calls 'PlaySync', debuts on the Astro A50
To do this, you need to connect the consoles/PC to the base via HDMI 2.1 and then use another HDMI cable to connect to the TV. In this way, the idea is to have more versatile and flexible headphones, even if this requires using more cables (including, obviously, power cables).

Even with this “redundancy” of connections and the use of at least one more cable, Logitech guarantees that latency is “ultra low” and that everything happens without “affecting the intended fidelity of the source”, as well as the use of standards/technologies «4K 120 Hz HDR, VRR and ALLM».

The Astro A50 X Lightspeed also has 40 mm speakers with graphene diaphragms, like the Pro App respectively)

Another technology that the brand debuts in Logitech G headphones is Lightspeed, in the microphone. This captures voice in “high resolution of 16 bits and 48 kHz”. According to the brand, this “additional bandwidth allows the microphone to capture a much broader spectrum of sound, providing performance, clarity and quality unmatched in a boom microphone.”

The Astro A50 However, it is now possible to place an order here: the price is 399 euros.
